Innovation Fashion – Fashion Trends

           How has fashion changed over the years? Fashion never stays the same it is always changing. There are new things every day in the fashion world and many things that cause it to change. The fashion world is a very busy industry even if it seems like it is not. Fashion trends always change and come back years later in a more modern way.

                      Fashion started off in ancient times as culture and clothing was different in every country, now a day it is similar all around the world. Fashion is changing all the time and has unique characteristics. For example, what was in the 60’s were pastel colors, geometric shapes, dresses, skirts, and suits. The “hippie” fashion decade towards the end of the 1960’s. The 1970’s was the “disco” decade, flared pants and jumpsuits were in at this time. Fashion just kept getting crazier every decade. In the 1980’s the bright colors started coming in. Leg warmers, leggings and loose shirts were in at this time. The decade that fashion started getting more comfortable and people didn’t care what they wore was the 1990’s.

            Fashion trends don’t change just because; there are reasons behind fashion changing. The main reason would be society’s views on people. People want to be seen with the best clothing possible. They want to outdo others and that’s how fashion starts changing little by little. Society is the biggest critic on fashion. Fashion trends are similar today do to society judging. You wear something different from everybody else and you get judge because of it. If people like what you are wearing, then they are going to start wearing similar clothes as you. This is just how the fashion world works.

            Models and celebrities have always had a big impact in the fashion world. Lets face it we all want to look like them. Fashion is crazy if you notice, some people starve themselves just to look like those beautiful skinny models. Just to fit in those tiny sizes that the fashion industry makes. I will never think this is a right thing to do. There are other sizes in that shirt, dress, jeans, skirt, etc. you want, there is no need for someone to starve themselves just to please society and the fashion world. Whatever someone wears or however they look like they will always be judged no matter what.

            Clothing back then was more decent compared to today. Over the years clothing started getting more revealing if you pay attention. Today what’s in are short shorts, skirts and dresses, tight clothing and crop tops. Some clothes are less revealing than others but these are the trends that are in to this date. Some of the clothing today has some similar characteristics as the clothing in the past years just in a more modern way. Fashion trends always come and go.
